-After awaking like a zombie and rising from her grave, a lady is confused about pretty much everything. Why did she rise from a grave? Was she buried alive? Why does her chest hurt? Why can't she remember her past or what happened?
-She wonders off and 2 drunk men have sex with her for money but still makes it to her house.
-She goes to the attic, but 2 people enter her house and go to the attic. She hides and finds out that a man named Andre died. She recognizes their voices as Russe and LeMar. She overhears them talking about a letter Andre sent them about a debt to a certain person named Anthony Scarabin. They think he killed Andre in a duel and decide to ask Anthony. She follows
-At the house of Baron, Baron and Anthony are getting ready to leave. Russe and LeMar demand answers and Anthony says he killed him in a duel. Anthony leaves first and Russe and LeMar leave angry. The lady quickly hops into Baron's carriage before he notices.
-Inside the carriage Baron questions the lady but she stays in the carriage. He then notices who it is and lets her stay. They leave.
-They ride for a long time. Baron and the girl have interesting conversations. He wanted to pay her to leave, talk her out of vengeance, and started calling her Mademoiselle St Jean. She insists on being called Sanjeanne.
-Both carriages stop because a coachman had to go to the bathroom. Sanjeanne leaves the carriage and while hiding, overhears Anthony and Baron talking about her. Baron wants to kill her and Anthony wants her to go back with Baron.
-After arguing Baron agrees to bring Sanjeanne back to Paradys. As they start walking towards their carriages she quickly goes inside Anthony's carriage and hides inside a coffin.
-They stop at a border and people need to inspect his coffin. Inside Sanjeanne plays dead and Anthony passes the inspection. At this point Anthony knows about Sanjeanne but doesn't seem to care and Sanjeanne just stays inside the coffin.
-They ride silently for a while and then stop. Anthony and the coachman take the coffin and put it outside and leave.
-Sanjeanne is in a meadow and is lost. She wonders off and finds a small stream and a boat. She follows the stream with the boat. Along the way she gets attacked by a bird or something. She uses the boat oar to attack and ends up snapping it's neck with her hands. She loses the oar and just drifts in the boat. She drifts towards an empty village and sees a ghost. She goes towards an old building and the ghosts disappears.
-She goes inside the building which is empty and sees strange things like a crystal ball, 3 silver crucifixes, and a black sword. She starts to hear music, which sounds like the piano Antonina played in the beginning. She sees the ghost and tries to talk to it. the ghost goes away. The musics stops and Anthony enters the room.
-Sanjeanne says she wants revenge and they pretty much talk about many things. Anthony leaves and later Sanjeanne mysteriously finds the special ruby ring in a weird trippy glass window. She puts it on and has sex with Anthony who is sleeping
-She goes downstairs and sees a girl cleaning. She doesn't talk and leaves the house. Sanjeanne follows her and ends up in a kitchen somewhere. There the girl cares for a new born baby and a old lady is sweeping the floor. The baby has a striking resemblance to Philippe.
-Sanjeanne tells the girl to prepare a bath. They end up kissing and we find out here name is Oula. The baby starts to cry so they both go downstairs. The baby has some special powers?
?? Sanjeanne wants to take out the baby.
- In the morning They all have breakfast. Anthony and Oula leave and later Sanjeanne walks into a room when Anthony and Oula are having sex. Oula leaves and Sanjeanne has sex with Anthony. In the morning Anthony is dead on the bed next to Sanjeanne. She walks outside and the empty village is now alive and there are tons of people attending a feast including Oula. There Sanjeanne dances with a man probably Oula husband?
-In the middle of the feast, everyone stops when a dog howls. Sanjeanne gets spooked and runs. 2 white dogs chase her
-Sanjeanne runs for her life but the 2 white dogs and Death riding a white horse catch up to her. Death is Antonina. Inside the house, Antonina kisses Sanjeanne as she sticks a dagger in her heart.
