Steeve Alex Hum 101 4 sources "Interview: Tanith Lee." Realms of Fantasy Magazine Interview Tanith Lee Comments. Web. 11 Oct. 2015. This source contains an interview with Tanith Lee which discusses several aspects of her interests in fiction. She had naturally fell in love with fiction which eventually lead to her publishing it. She sold many copies and her motivation to write more books increased. Tanith wanted to publish books that readers enjoyed reading. She published several books regarding fiction mysteries, lesbian, etc. The most important information I learned about her from this source was how she didn't care what others had to say about her work. She concentrated on what she loved to do: write. Roberts, Sam. "Tanith Lee, Fantasy and Horror Novelist, Dies at 67." The New York Times. The New York Times, 2 June 2015. Web. 11 Oct. 2015. “Though we come and go, and pass into the shadows, where we leave behind us stories told — on paper, on the wings of butterflies, on the wind, on the hearts of others — there we are remembered, there we work magic and great change — passing on the fire like a torch — forever and forever. Till the sky falls, and all things are flawless and need no words at all.” (“Tanith Lee” 1). This quote, was sent to Tanith’s readers on her website before she passed away. I believe the meaning of this message was that Tanith Lee was grateful to the readers for reading her stories and she hopes the writing will be a great art passed on from generation to the next. The site also includes her childhood history and how she wrote 90 novels regarding science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Stanson, Michael ”Authors." Immanion Press -. Web. 11 Oct. 2015. This source talks about how Tanith Lee had a tough start as she attended terrible schools and didn't know ow to read until the age of 9. Her father eventually taught her which eventually lead her write unique stories. Some of her accomplished included writing two episodes of the tv show Blake’s 7. In 1992, she married a writer/artist/photographer John Kaiine in a house full of book and plants. "Tanith Lee Bibliography - Author Biography." Tanith Lee Bibliography - Author Biography. Web. 11 Oct. 2015. This source states how Tanith Lee has won or been nominated for a variety of awards, including the World Fantasy Awards, the august Derleth Award and the nebula. She was rejected numerous times from the British publishers but eventually until she was finally published by DAW books which was a American publishing firm. She passed away at the age of 67 due to severe illness.
